What is Salvation?
Salvation is pardon from the guilt and penalty of sin.
Where does Salvation come from?
Salvation is a gift from
God. Ephesians 2:8-9 says "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God. Not of works
lest any man should boast."
Who can receive salvation?
Through Jesus, salvation is made available to all mankind.
What do I get from
salvation?
The benefits of salvation are ongoing. They are deliverance, victory, prosperity, wholeness, healing, saveness, help, safety,
welfare, defense, rescue, preservation, freedom, liberty and pardon. God has provided everything that we need for life and godliness.
When we leave this earth, He has also provided us with an eternal home in heaven with Him.
How does a person get saved?
Romans 10:9-10,
"that is thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved. For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
You believe with your heart and confess with your mouth.
Can I get saved through any other way?
No. Jesus is the only way. He said
in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
I was baptized when I was a child,
does that mean that I am saved?
No. The only way a person can be saved is to confess Jesus as Lord (Romans 10:9-10). Baptism cannot
save a person. Baptism is the outward sign of the redemptive work that Jesus did for you on the inside (in you spirit).
Once I am
saved, what do I do?
First, find a good bible-believing and teaching church that you can attend regularly. Second, renew your mind
in the Word of God; this is vital to your growth as a Christian. Romans 12:2 "Be not conformed to the things of this world, but be
ye transformed (changed) by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
Third, make a quality decision that you're going to be and have all that God has said about you in His written Word. (The Bible).
