What We Believe

We Believe: The Bible, the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings, and complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.

We Believe: There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three manifestations: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.

We Believe: Jesus died on the cross, the complete and final sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose from the dead, ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of God, He is now our Lord and Advocate.

We Believe: The breath of God is the Word of God as it was spoken in the beginning, so we believe the power of the Spoken Word.

We Believe: In the Word according to Deuteronomy 8:3, "And he humbled thee and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knowest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.
Rhema Worship Center had its beginnings from a small bible study group held at Pastor's Ronnie's family home on June 18, 2006 with 18 people.

Pastor Ronnie was given specific instructions by God to design a ministry that would address the needs of people who were crying out to Him.
Later in 2006, Rhema Foundation the Governing Board was also formed under Pastor Ronnie.
Shortly thereafter, worship services was being held on the campus of McKendree College at the Bothel Chapel. Due to college activities on certain Sundays our worship services were held at the Holiday Inn-Express (Shiloh) and The Fountains (Fairview Heights).

During this time of our journey we began to "spy out the land" for our permanent location. We began our search by thinking outside the box for properties to be renovated. We have viewed many properties, but none fitted our vision.

But, in March of 2009, the Lord led our congregation to the building for sale by the YMCA in Belleville, Illinois.
On May 24, 2009, we held our first worship service in our new location at 9100 Lebanon Road.
